Stelle Architects | Surfside House in Bridgehampton, New York.

Architecture and nature have been fully integrated in this light-saturated, oceanfront setting that includes guest quarters, a garage and a two-story house clad in horizontal slats of Alaskan yellow cedar and anodized aluminum windows. The natural dunescape was restored with beach grass, bayberry and other native plants. A sun deck and a free-form, chlorine-free swimming pool were also added. The remodeled house and guesthouse are equipped with geothermal heating/cooling and photovoltaic electric panels.

A.F Vandevorst have sculpted a life-size sculpture of a sleeping girl in 250kg of candle wax. 

Over the one month course of the Arnhem Mode Biennale 2011, the candle burnt down day by day, melting and transforming throughout the duration of the exhibition.
